Today we will take about Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti which might be the best Pascal architecture that Nvidia has made. This graphics card was released in 2016 and a following line-up of 1000 series graphics card including GTX 1080, 1070 and 1060. Now in 2018 is it worth to buy? and for whom it will be beneficial?
We have tested single fan variant of GTX 1050 ti from MSI. So, if you are going to buy another variation or taking it from another brand there may be some difference in performance. If we are talking about different brand there will be no much difference, only you will notice the difference in memory frequency or core frequency.
RAM and Ports Availability
You get 4GB of GDDR5 VRAM along with 768 CUDA cores and a base clock speed of 1,290MHz and a maximum boost clock of 1,392MHz.You will get PCIe3 support from this GPU and that means if your motherboard supports PCIe Port then you will be able to use the full potential of the GPU by connecting to that port.
Three ports are available as outputs. 1. DisplayPort 2.DVI Port 3.HDMI Port. If you want to build a tipple monitor system, you can easily build with this graphics card.
The power consumption is very good comparing to other series cards. 75W is the maximum consumption of the overclock edition. It is not required to provide an external power connector.
Now check some benchmarks result –
Reviewing benchmarking it is clear that you can’t play all ‘AAA’ titles at 1080p with over 60fps. But it can handle 1080p games with a lower fps. If you want this GPU in your system then use at least Pentium G4450 or Ryzen 3 1300, otherwise, it could bottleneck the performance. If you are building a new system within budget-friendly price then go for Intel 8th gen i5 processor or Ryzen 5 series. As the GTX 1060 price is nowhere near budget, it is good for going with this all mighty budget gaming GPU in 2018 under $200.
